Browsersoft Delivers Kansas Diabetes Records Exchange

Lenexa, KS (August 14, 2007), Browsersoft, Inc., a Kansas-based health
information services provider, today announced the delivery of an online diabetes database and analysis system in use by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). The Browsersoft system uses OpenHRE™ to automate the process of collecting and analyzing data from healthcare providers across the State, allowing KDHE analysts to focus on improving the quality of care for Kansans with diabetes.
According to Chris Tilden, PhD, Director, Office of Local and Rural Health;
"Browsersoft’s base of open source health offerings represented an affordable option to KDHE as we looked at ways to more efficiently analyze information on the quality of care for diabetic patients in the ambulatory care environment. Since these offerings were also used in developing a Nationwide Health Information Network prototype, we believe that this system positions us well to integrate public health data into emerging health information exchanges in a way that will benefit patients statewide."
